Herbstlicher Tischkranz - Centerpiece wreath

I am still sick and at home. But at least I try to decorate the flat a little.

Already a while ago, I have bought a styrofoam wreath which I have wrapped with yarn. Afterwards, I have cut some felt flowers in three different sizes in yellow, orange and red and I have also cut some green felt leaves. I have also embroided some leave vains in green.

I have fixated the leaves with a thread to the yarn. There I had to be carefully, not to stitch too deep through the felt, so that the thread won't be visible.

As next I have sewn three different sized and colored flowers and have sewn them to the yarn. In all I have made 9 different flowers. To fixate them better, I have them also attached to the other flowers. Also carefully, so that the thread won't be visible.

I think the wreath became really pretty and colorful and fits perfectly on the black dinning table where it seems to glow and makes the black candle also appeare more. By the way, the "sand" around the candle is actually vulcanic ash. I have collected it about two years ago in Iceland. Ah, sweet holiday memories... :o)
