Aus Alt mach Neu - Kanzashi Shirt

Der Herbst ist da! Woran ich das merke? Die letzten zwei Wochen habe ich hauptsächlich mit Niesen, Husten und Fieber verbracht. Aber jetzt bin ich auf Herbst eingestellt und warm eingepackt!!
The fall is here! How I realized it? Well, the last two weeks I was busy with sneeeing, coughing and having fever. But now I'm prepared and ready for the cold weather!

Nach dem das Gröbste der Erkältung vorrüber war, blieb ich nicht ganz untätig und habe ein altes T-Shirt etwas aufgemotzt. Vor Kurzem habe ich die Kanzashi Blumen entdeckt und habe mich nochmals dahinter gesetzt.
After the worst of the cold was over, I haven't been totally lazy, but have pimped a shirt. Recently I have dicovered the Kanzashi flowers and had to try that again.

Was ich dazu brauchte? Ein neues und ein ausgedientes T-Shirt, beziehbare Knöpfe und Nadel und Faden. Nicht mehr :o)
What it required? A new and an old shirt, with fabric coverable buttons, yarn and a needle. Nothing more :o)

Das alte T-Shirt habe ich in verschieden grosse Kriese (2, 2.5 und 3.5 cm Durchmesser) geschnitten. Pro Blume benötigte ich jeweils 5 Stück.
I have cut the old shirt in different sized circles (2, 2.5 and 3.5cm in diameter). Per flower I had to cut 5 pieces.

Dazu habe ich jeweils einen Kreis zweimal gefaltet, bis nur ein kleines Dreieck übrig war. Dies Dreieck habe ich dann mit ein paar lockeren Stichen aufgefädelt. Danach das zweite, dritte, vierte und fünfte Dreieck. Wenn alle fünf aufgezogen sind, kann die Blume vernäht werden.
Then I have foldet each circle twice until only a small triangle was left. Then I have put the triangle on the yarn, followed by the second, third, fourth and fifth one. When all five are on the yarn, the flower can be sewn togehter.





Insgesamt habe ich 3 grosse Blumen mit den 3.5cm Durchmesser, 3 mit 2.5 und 2 mit 2cm Durchmesser gebunden. Die Blumen habe ich dann um den Ausschnitt des T-Shirts verteilt. Um sie zu fixieren, habe ich einen mit dem gleichen Stoff bezogenen Knopf verwendet. Dazu habe ich den Knopf durch das Loch in der Blumenmitte gesteckt und von unten festgenäht. Um zusätzlichen Halt zugeben, habe ich einzelne Blütenblätter noch mit einigen Stichen fixiert.
In total I have made 3 large flowers with 3.5cm diameter, 3 with 2.5cm and 2 with 2cm diameter. Then I have placed the flowers around the neckline of the new shirt. To fix them, I have put a with the same fabric covered button in the middle hole of the flower and have sewn it from the left side of the shirt. I have also fixated the leaves a little with single stitches.

Wie ich finde, war es ein ziemlich kleiner Aufwand, aber das T-Shirt sieht glich viel schicker aus und wurde durch die paar Blumen ziemlich aufgewertet...

I think it took only a little effort to up grade a shirt which looks now more expensive and fashionable and that with only a few flowers...
