Kaffee und Kekse.../Coffee and cookies...

Was gibt es schöneres als am Sonntag morgen mit Kaffee und Keksen in den Tag zu starten?
Is there anything more beautiful than start in to a Sunday with coffee and cookies?

Dazu habe ich gestern ein paar Kekse gebacken, die wirklich in Null Komma Nix fertig sind. Notfallkekse so zu sagen...
Therefore I have baked some cookies yesterday, which are made in an instant. Kind of emergency cookies...


Ich habe mich für Shortbread entschieden, aber nicht für das Klassische, sondern mit Schokotropfen. Hmmm... Schokolade ist nie falsch :o)
I have decided to bake some Shortbread, but not the classical one, but with chocolate drops. Hmmm... Chocolate is always right :o)

Hier ist das Rezept:

120g Butter (ich habe Pflanzenmargarine verwendet)
120g Mehl
50g Speisestärke
50g Feinzucker
40g Zartbitter Schokotropfen (ich habe mehr verwendet, es geht ja um Schokolade...)

Here's the recipe:
120g butter ( I have used plant margarine)
120g flour
50g starch
50g custer sugar
40g bitter chocolate drops ( I have used more, hey it's about chocolate...)

Zu aller erst habe ich eine Tarte-Form eingefettet und danach habe ich den Teig hergestellt. Dazu habe ich alles (ausser die Schoko-Tropfen) in einer grossen Schüssel gemischt und als der Teig schön gleichmässig war, habe ich ihn in das Blech verteilt. Möglichst gleichmässig natürlich. Danach habe ich noch ein paar mal mit einer Gabel reingestochen und die Schoko-Tropfen darauf verteilt und leicht angedrückt.
Danach kam alles in einen auf 150°C vorgeheizten Backofen und blieb dort rund 35 Minuten.
To start with I have fattened a tarte tray with butter and have then prepared the dough. Therefore I have mixed the ingredients (except for the chocolate drops) in a large bowl until the dough is even. Then  I have put it in the tray and have tried to spread it again even over it. To finalize I have stabbed with a fork some holes and have poured the chocolate drops over it and pushed them a little into the dough. Afterwards the cake had to wander into the preheated oven (about 150°C), where it had to stay for about 35 minutes.

Wenn der Kuchen etwas abgekühlt ist, kann er aus der Form genommen und geschnitten werden.
After cooling down a littel, I have removed the tart tray and cut the cake into cookies.

Dazu noch ein Kaffee und der Sonntag kann starten :o)

Mutti ist die Beste...

So langsam naht der Muttertag, deswegen habe ich mit den ersten Vorbereitungen angefangen...

Seit einger Zeit schaue ich mir wieder völlig verleibt die Bilder von Paper Panda an und habe mir vorgenommen, auch mal so was in dieser Art zu versuchen. Deshalb zückte ich Schneidunterlage, Skapell und Stift und habe beschlossen eine Muttertagskarte zu erstellen.

Dazu habe ich dickes Kartenpapier in rosa gekauft und auf diesem mal mit einer kleinen Skizze angefangen. Ich habe mich hierbei für den Schriftzug "Mutti ist die Beste" entschieden, auch wenn ich meine Mutter noch nie im Leben "Mutti" genannt habe, aber ich fand es passt :o)
Danach habe ich einzelne Stellen rausgeschnittem (was mit dem Skalpell besser geklappt hat, als ich erwartet habe).

Die Blumen, die auch herausstehen wollte ich noch etwas mehr betonen und habe deshalb die gleiche Form aus Seidenpapier (4fach gelegt) ausgeschnitten und mit Nylonfaden und einer pinken Perle angenäht.
Um die Schrift etwas besser zu betonen, habe ich mit schwarz noch so eine Art Schattierung gemalt und zu guter Letzt habe ich das "Fesnter" mit rosa Papier (Tschibo lässt immer noch grüssen...) verklebt und tadaaaa....

Das ganze geschnippel hat echt Spass gemacht und es wirk wohl nicht meine letzte Begegnung mit Skalpell und Papier sein :o)

Schuhe, Schuhe, Schuhe... ♥

Heute konnte ich nach einer gefüüüüüüüühlten Ewigkeit (ok, es waren etwa 5 Tage...) konnte ich mein Paket bei der Post abholen. Und was war da drin? - Sneakers ♥


Aber nicht irgendwelche schnödeligen Turnschuhe, sondern welche mit Keilabsatz von "Ash". Ich habe sie schon so häufig in verschiedenen Zeitschriften gesehen und habe mich gleich in sie verliebt. Und nun halte ich sie endlich in den Händen bzw trage sie an den Füssen...

Sie sitzen echt wie angegossen ♥


Da ich Keilabsätze liebe (sie sind bequem und machen trotzdem grösser...), hoffe ich, dass diese Art Turnschuhe wirklich ein Trend werden und dann auch billiger zu finden sind :o)

Öfters mal was Neues...

Ja, ich habe gedacht, ich versuche es mal, auf deutsch zu schreiben... :o)

Endlich, endlich sind meine Sommerferien gebucht! Yay! :oD

Ich werde im Sommer einige Tage nach Riga fliegen und ich bin schon sehr gespannt, wie es da so ist, denn bisher habe ich nur Gutes gehört.
Jedenfalls, falls Jemand Tips hat, dann raus damit, denn in Riga war ich noch nie...

Das zweite Reiseziel ist London. Ist nicht mehr ganz so neue, aber das letzte Mal konnte ich bei weitem nicht alles anschauen, was ich wollte. Ich denke, dazu müsste ich noch etliche Male hin. Neben Sightseeing will ich natürlich auch einige neue Kleider kaufen... he,he... Diesmal werde ich definitiv viel, viel mehr Zeit in Camden verbringen, aber auch Topshop, TK Maxx und Primark werden nicht vernachlässigt... :o)
Man, man, man... hier in der Schweiz haben wir echt kaum auswahl...

Geheimtipps sind natürlich immer willkommen... :o)

Like a King - pin cushion

Today I have made a tiny pin cushion, so maybe I won't lose all those pins any more and find them by stepping on them... :o)

What I have used for is a bit yellow and red felt, some red beads, some fluff for stuffing and a golden thread.

First I have made a pattern in crown shape, a bottom and the middle piece (as in the picture). I have cut the crown shape twice to sew it together to make everything a little more stable.

Then I have added some red beads as "crown jewels". Then I had to swop the whole thing to sew the crown middle piece. After adding it, I have turned the whole crown again and stuffed it with some fluff. Then I have fixated to bottom and have sewn it to the rest. For all visible parts I have used the golden thread.

And that's how the crown looks, after finishing it:

Still in love...

I am still in love with all those Tschibo beads and blings...

Today I have made a little bracelet, actually it is very minimalistic, but I do not like it when there is too much around.

For the bracelet I have used a leather strap and have knotted the tiny silver ring,so that it is not sliding around. For the necklace I have added some pearls to a silver key that I have got from my boyfriend. He has bought it in Stockholm and he has chosen the key, because I was amazed by a similar motive that was shown in Kirsties Handmade Britain. She is the uncrowned Queen of crafting and diy... so... shuuuush shuuuush... go and watch it  :o)

Bling up your scarf...

It's April and unconfy cold outside. I am still wearing my warm clothes and are getting a bit bored of them. So, I've decided to bling them up a little...

I have several black scarves so I took one of them as a craft guinea pig...

First I have prepared  3 stincils in flower shape, but in three different sizes.  With those I have cut some felt pieces (for each size 5 pieces). Then I have tried to make some bead flower stemps. I have put between 3 to 5 small beads on and them a bigger one and a small one in the end to make a backstrap. Per flower I have made 5 stemps each.

Then I have sewn stitshces along the flower leaves to give them a little structure and have sewn each flower level on the other.

After filalizing the flowers I have attached them to the scarf.

And this is the finalized scarf (do you recognize the earrings? :o) ) wrapped around the neck and in a close shot.

Even I have a "new" scarf, I hope it'll be warmer soon and I'll get rid off of my cold...

Oh, that was rather quick...

Yes, I'm one of those too...

...I admit I couldn't resist one of current Tschibo offers and I have bought some craft things.

For a long time I have planned to buy everything to create my own pearl earrings, but I've been to lazy (sometimes to busy...) to look what is necessary, but now...haha! Tschibo had everything in sets so I've got them.
Now I own a whole selection of rings, pearls, connectors and grippers.

I am truely suprised how easy it is (this might be also caused through the right equiptment...) and after 10 minutes a was holding my frist earrings in my hands or better I saw them hanging in my earlobes :o)

That's what they look like. I knwo, nothing special, but I like them anyway... :o)

Pink easter cupcakes...

Happy Easter to everyone out there...

Today I'm off to a family visit, but I couldn't appear there without bringing any sweets along, so I've decided to bake some cupcakes...

First, you have to mix all ingredients and pour them in to a 12 hole cupcake tray:

90g butter

1 teaspoon coco nut rasper

110g caster sugar

2 eggs

150g flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 table spoons milk

Then you can put it in a pre-heated 180° C oven for about 20 minutes.

After baking, the cupcakes have to cool down a little , but in the meanwhile you can prepare the icing:

150g icing sugar

2 to 3 table spoons water

food coloring
(coco nut flakes for decoration)

For the icing mix the three ingredients given above with a fork and the you can apply it on the top of the cupcakes and cover the cupcake evenly with a knife. As long as the icing is wet you can sprinkle some coco nut flakes over it.

After the icing dries, you can cut a little, about 1cm deep, hole in the cupcake and remove the plug. There you can drip some strawberry marmelade in it and cover it with some whipped cream. For finalizing plug the cupcake plug in again...

So, enjoy baking...

Back again...

Hello, hello...

I've been virtually away for a while, because it's been a pretty tough week. I had to work long hours (maybe I should use the decline button a little more...) and I was knocked out by an allergic reaction over the weekend.

But again I had some time to surf a little trough the internet and a wonderful site has caught my eye:

Lu posts lots of pictures of the shop that she runs in Berlin and in the internet. But not only that, she also has great ideas how to improve your own house and look which she shares in her blog.
